Everything about the poster’s assessment of the issue is just soooo wrong.
Tl;Dr OP was hitting the traction control button instead of the window switch, misinterprets the TCS Off light as something else, correlates the light with their window not working.

yellow triangle with an exclamation mark is traction control? O.o
i thought it meant danger triangle deployed

So basically he hit the TC button instead of the window switch?

But he got his question answered without being heckled. win

Yup. And then thought the light on the dash had something to do with their window not working (which in a roundabout way it did)

But the danger triangle was not an option on the 2000 CLK.

I kept pushing the ESP button and I couldn’t read any minds...do you think it is faulty?
![]() 11/09/2018 at 10:48 |

well.... that seems like a rather vital bit of kit to not be an option

Yeah, seriously. This is almost like a subtle troll getting a real answer.

I keep pushing my Rest button but I don't feel any more energized.

Take it back! See if there is a recall on the option?
What crap...

With this one simple hack you can park anywhere.

I...I have questions...isn’t one a button and one a switch? I guess maybe not in a car from 2000. Either way,
h
ow close together are they? It’s been a long while since I’ve been in a CLK.

No argument here.

The fact that you had to ask him gives you your answer.

They're right next to each other, and seem to be the same exact switch.

This is an excellent point!

This is the kind of description I get to decipher every day.

When I was younger, the delivery driver for my family’s print s hop show ed me this “hack” while I was helping him with a delivery. I successfully deployed it for two years when I worked as our driver in high school.
