Kinja'd!!!

Everything about the poster’s assessment of the issue is just soooo wrong.

Tl;Dr OP was hitting the traction control button instead of the window switch, misinterprets the TCS Off light as something else, correlates the light with  their window not working.

Yup. And then thought the light on the dash had something to do with their window not working (which in a roundabout way it did)

But the danger triangle was not an option on the 2000 CLK.

I kept pushing the ESP button and I couldn’t read any minds...do you think it is faulty?

I...I have questions...isn’t one a button and one a switch? I guess maybe not in a car from 2000. Either way, h ow close together are they? It’s been a long while since I’ve been in a CLK.

When I was younger, the delivery driver for my family’s print s hop show ed me this “hack” while I was helping him with a delivery. I successfully deployed it for two years when I worked as our driver in high school.
